EASTEC 2017

On three days in May, Alpine Bearing and hundreds of manufacturing, distribution, and technology firms descended on the Big E (Eastern States Exposition) in West Springfield, Massachusetts for EASTEC, the premier manufacturing event in New England. Hosted by the SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and the AMT (Association for Manufacturing Technology), EASTEC hosted over twelve thousand attendees.

Speakers presented topics on the robotic exploration of Mars, the Industrial Internet of Things, and the production of jet engines. Attendees participated in workshops on subjects as diverse as Lean manufacturing, starting an automation project, and metal additives. It was a terrific opportunity to see how vital and adaptive manufacturing is in the Northeast.

Alpine was happy to be a part of the extravaganza. We got a chance to meet people from other industries and place a few faces with names. It was an educational program and we look forward to coming back in 2019.
