William Pool in his Anaheim office

William Pool, a thirteen-year veteran of Alpine Bearing, works in the Anaheim office as Quality Manager and Sales Engineer. You may have thought we had just the Boston location, but we also have a West Coast office. Originally hired as a sales engineer, William stepped up to learn about quality certifications and has become the company expert. He’s the go-to employee for information on ISO9001 and AS9100 standards. He’s also a sales engineer, answering customers’ questions and steering them toward the right bearings for each application. His focus is the aerospace industry, but he can help bearing customers from any field.

anaheim employee was drawn to Alpine’s business ethics

William worked in the bearing industry and dealt with Alpine before working here. He was always impressed by the company’s reputation. “They have a strong sense of ethics,” he said. “If they tell you they’ll do something, they’ll do it.” Naturally, when he got the chance to work for Jim Levin and Alpine, he went for it.

William currently works in Alpine’s Anaheim office a couple days and from his home office the rest of the week. Although the change took place because of COVID-19, William likes the hybrid remote work schedule. He avoids commuting a few days, and still gets to see his coworkers. He notes the West Coast facility has a staff large enough to handle the workload and small enough to make it easy to work safely, maintaining social distancing guidelines with few adjustments.

William has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from California State University at Fullerton and has lived in Southern California since he was in high school. He lives about twenty miles from Anaheim with his wife, Elsa, a school psychologist and teenage son, Mathew. When he’s not working, William enjoys spending time with his family and mountain biking on the trails near his home.
