Employee Spotlight: Chris Kane
Chris Kane officially joined the Alpine team as Director of Sales, West Coast, on July 5th after visiting the Alpine headquarters in Boston.
Chris’ professional background
Chris brings over a decade of experience in bearing sales and a deep understanding of the market to his new position. Excited to join the Alpine team, Chris looks forward to applying his experience, learning and deepening Alpine’s OEM sales.
Chris has a two-year degree from Loyola Marymount and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (BSOL) earned from Chapman University.
After college, Chris’ love of learning shifted to his passion for law enforcement, and he attended the police academy. He was recruited by a local sheriff’s department but decided to continue with his business career at Kenworth Truck, where he managed six divisions during his 10 years at the truck manufacturer. However, he did not give up on his interest in law enforcement and has been a reserve sheriff’s deputy since graduating from the academy. Still not done learning, he returned to Chapman to earn an MBA with a leadership emphasis.
Joining Alpine in the Anaheim office
Joining Alpine was an easy decision. Chris recognizes how Alpine is respected in the industry. He knew the people, culture and growth opportunities. He’s excited to bring his experience to the team and focus on OEM to strengthen Alpine’s sales relationships and keep customers coming back.
Being part of the Alpine team is Chris’ favorite part of his new role. He enjoys the people and the culture.
“The transition has been great,” he said. “Everyone is very open, transparent and patient.”
He looks forward to transitioning to a hybrid role focused on sales after he completes onboarding, learning systems and marketing plans. He’ll be traveling a lot to meet with current and potential clients, build connections with people he knows and explore new opportunities.
Chris enjoys being in front of customers in a sales setting and being creative.
“I enjoy the sale, being in front of the customer and having the creativity to fill their immediate and long-term needs, figuring out what’s getting the clicks,” he said.
The dynamic nature of a sales situation is the perfect opportunity for Chris to use both his analytical and interpersonal skills to build relationships and grow sales.
Chris Kane Outside of work
When not at work, Chris enjoys time with his wife, Christina (an interior decorator), and their two dogs. They love to spend time outdoors and often go camping. In August, they added Zion National Park to their list of adventures.
Chris is excited about his new role, and his excitement, passion for growth, and friendly personality are a great addition to Alpine.
